A tool for detecting the active fork project based on commit activities on GitHub

Abstract

Despite the increasing popularity of open source software (OSS), some OSS projects have stalled in development.It is not easy to find alternative OSS projects when the OSS that one is using stalls in development.To address this problem, we propose a tool that explores active projects among fork projects on platforms such as GitHub.The tool detects the active projects based on commit activity.
