Data collecting system on tourism using mobile phone and e-bulletin board

Abstract

The trace system for tourist is proposed in this study. A cellular phone is used in the system. The phone can read QR code and collect the tourist behaviors, namely it can trace the behaviors auto matically. The proposed system was examined in Yamanaka-Onsen in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. An electric bulletin board was also adopted to understand directly the tourist opinion. It is considered that the system is useful to know the tourist behaviors and the feeling, and can be contribute to grow the tourism industry.
