Abstract
In this paper, we consider the personalized tourist information system based on AHP~(Analytic Hierarchy Process). This Web based system was consisted by the questionnaire, database of tourist spots and recommendation engine. Each tourist spot in this database is prior characterized by local resident based on questionnaire.
Then, it is rated for each tourist by using pair comparison method on demand, the recommended tourist spots or plan are displayed for each tourist. We operated such WWW server based on the proposed approach for Tottori tourism during several years.
