The process of creating a figure takes a long time. In this paper, we present our studies to realize an interactive drawing system, which interacts with a user through natural language, and gathers information to create a figure. First, we conduct a subject experiment to collect texts that describe drawing procedures, and construct a prototype drawing system based on these texts. Second, in order to improve practical utility of the prototype system, we conduct another experiment to collect dialogues between subjects who play roles of a user and a drawing system. By analyzing these dialogues, we sort out key functions for a practical interactive drawing system.
