Centrality and Peripherality Measures in Social Network

Abstract

Centrality is a fundamental concept in network analysis. So far, many measures of centrality have beenproposed. Most of these measures have been classified into three categories: degree, closeness, betweenness centrality. This paper proposes a new type of centrality measure based on network formation. Moreover, a measure of peripherality is also proposed.
