Abstract
In this paper, we propose a nutritional management system (NMS) that optimizes nutritional balance using a tabu search. The current recipe retrieval systems generally retrieve a recipe by using a keyword or recommend a popular recipe for the user. However, these recipe retrievals give the same retrieval results to different users. Therefore, the result of the retrievals does not reflect a user's taste. In addition, the search results of many recipe retrievals do not describe the nourishment details of the recipes. Therefore, for resolving these issues, we develop a healthy eating habits support system. The healthy eating habits support system is composed of a NMS and the kansei retrieval system. The NMS retrieves menus considering nutritional balance by using a tabu search. The kansei retrieval system retrieves menus considering the user's taste. In this study, we examined the performance of a tabu search for exploring the menus through a simulation. As a result, in the case of a menu that is configured with more than three recipes, the NMS could obtain a sustained quantity of menus for long-term use. Thus, the effectiveness of the proposed system was confirmed.
