Abstract
The authors have studied ubiquitous LED landmarks based on visible light communication technology and handy terminals for supporting the visually impaired. According experimental results, they were effective methods for supporting the visually impaired. However, we need much time for growing infrastructure of LED landmarks. Recently, Smart phones are used actively. They equip cameras and functions for communicating the Internet. In the study, we considered Ubiquitous color markers for picking landmarks out based on image processing for supporting the visually impaired.
