Abstract
Recently, remote operation support systems become important to manage refuse incineration plants. It is used to save energy, to save manpower and to operate in safety. The FCM (Fuzzy c-Means) classifier is a key technology to realize the above systems for substituting operators' vision, because the operators' visual information is very important to operate the plant properly. In this paper, we describe two applications of FCM classifier to image processing and classification for refuse incineration plants. We are planning to apply FCM to various fields of refuse incineration plants.
