Abstract
This study proposes a method of Emotional Fitness, physical activity intended to improve the mental health and well-being, based on the health of subject's minds as they exercise, as inferred from subjective and objective measures. Subjects ran on a treadmill for 30 minutes at a given estimated Anaerobic Threshold (AT): 80, 100, and 120%Before and after exercise, each subject completes a Two-dimensional Mood Scale as a subjective psychological measure and provides a saliva sample for measuring cortical levels is as a physical measure. The objective is to determine the optimal level of AT for Emotional Fitness.
