Abstract
A system that is capable of recognizing an emotion of user's statement would be very effective to have a smooth conversation with users. Therefore, studies of the emotion recognition have been actively conducted, which quantify the emotion by analyzing the surface pattern in the sentence. However, recognizing the emotion from complicated sentences, such as compound sentences and sentences that include negative expressions remains difficult to solve. This paper describes our improvement of emotion recognizing system using parsing. The effectiveness of recognizing these complicated sentences was confirmed through the evaluation experiments.
