Abstract
For remote communication systems, it is important to improve presences of users at remote locations. In this study, we propose a method to improve the user's presence by combining the user's figures and a humanoid robot. The user's figures show nonverbal information such as his/her line of sight and facial expressions. The robot linked with the user's actions gives a feeling that he/she is really in the place. And the combination of these two factors improves the user's presence. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
