Optimization of component arrangement and section using stochastic search algorithms

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to utilize a computer for an architectural design effectively. By this research, the author used genetic algorithm and artificial bee colony algorithm. Pillar arrangement and cross-sectional selection were optimized by two algorithms. There are some points which should be improved, but two algorithms are effective.
