Abstract
Recently, many studies on feature extraction method from histopathology images has been reported for quantitative analysis. These feature descriptors in the studies, however, are applied only some diseases such as breast and esophagitis. Their performance are not still clear in the field of brain histopathology image processing. In this paper, the authors evaluated the performance of the feature descriptors for evaluating the progress of Glioma. We applied them to the brain histopathology images, and statistical significant of the extracted feature was evaluated. We could determine significant feature descriptors for brain histopathology images and 99.7% of the input images were graded properly by using them.
