Abstract
This paper proposes an aesthetic quality evaluation system for images based on color harmony and image composition. For deeper communication between humans and systems, it is indispensable to share similar impression for input images. This paper aims at automatic aesthetic quality evaluation considering color and image composition. The proposed system evaluates aesthetic quality compositely by digitizing degree of color beauty in an image and goodness of image composition based on the knowledge of color design and camera technique and fuzzy inference. We conducted experiments using images collected from the internet and it has shown that there is a high correlation between the evaluations by the human and the evaluations by the system.
