Abstract
A new salient object and background extraction method is presented. It is constructed as a succeeding process of the region segmentation based on Virtual Super Pixel (VSP) and global features. The method is applied to a data-base composed of 200 images (CSSD) is also presented. Saliency is treated considering "Foreground and Background" and "Central visual field and Peripheral visual field".
