Abstract
The aim of this research is to develop water treatment systems by photochemical oxidation of organic materials in waste water, and to find the effective combined method of ozonization, ultraviolet radiation and photocatalyst. An artificial waste water prepared by mixing sodium acetate, lithium lactic acid, sodium butyric acid, and sodium formic acid in pure water, and was applied to water treatment. Waste water is ozonized together with ultraviolet (UV) radiation and photo-catalystic material (anatase-type TiO2). By the ozonization combined with UV radiation and photo-catalyst, organic materials were oxidized and decomposed with high efficiency. A new anatase-type titanium oxide-polymer composite beads for water treatment was successfully prepared by hybridization technique.
