Abstract

Recently, educational-support robots that support human learning attract many people's attention. However, the problem of these robots is that learners feel that the behavior of the robot is uniform and tires of collaborative learning with the robot. To solve this problem, the previous study proposed using sympathy-expression method that is defined as the robot expressing its emotions autonomously. This method expresses emotion according to the answer time. We think that the writing time should be considered. The writing time is defined as the time of learners write to solve the questions. For example, when learners wrote a lot, the answer time became long time and the robot, which used the previous method, expresses the emotion of the sleep side. To sympathize with learners, we think that the robot should express the emotion of the arousing side. However, since we do not know the impression of the robot that expresses emotion based only on the writing time, we investigate the impression of the robot that expresses emotion based on the writing time.
