Recent years have seen an increasing interest in the use of preventative care to prevent disease and disabilities. Such a care relies on people adopting a healthy lifestyle and in particular a healthy eating habit. To eat healthy, people would need to be aware of the number of calories which they consume. In this paper, we propose a method which could be used to automatically predict the calories of cooked food based on their recipes. We extract the various food recipes, including information about their ingredients and cooking methods from various cooking websites. Doc2Vec is then used to vectorize the recipes, the features of which are used to train a calorie prediction model. This model is then used to automatically calculate the calories of unknown food recipes submitted by the user.
