Abstract

Educational support robots are focused on in the field of HRI. An aim of the robots is to support teachers and families in their schools and homes. Our study pays attention to“ praising students and children”in education environment and social communication. In the study,“ praising”is introduced into our robot to produce effective educational support. We hired university students and conducted a psychological experiment to evaluate the act the robot praised them. The experimental result indicated that the students had better impressions about the act the robot praised in comparison with the one the robot didn’t.
