Abstract
The purpose of this study is establishing the objective–based durability design method for building components. Herein the objective–based design means that selecting the most appropriate specification of building component according to the each requested performance level of durability. This study focused on the durability of RC building members which are border on the ambient air, such as roof slabs and exterior walls. The influence of sunshine on exposure test for movement and temperature of surface finishing materials and concrete was discussed in this paper.
