Modal choice model of the Exposition passenger with fuzzy decision tree

Abstract

The estimation of passenger demand for transport planning of EXPO2025 in the study. In particular, the modal choice estimation for passengers should be an essential factor. Therefore, the modal choice model of the Exposition passenger is constructed. The observed database for modal choice behavior is created according to the questionnaire survey for EXPO2025 passengers. The quantification method II is applied as a traditional approach. Furthermore, ID3 as well as fuzzy ID3 would be applied to describe the complex decision process of passengers. As a result, the proper description of decision process is given by decision tree comparing to the traditional method. Finally, the management of modal choice for EXPO2025 passengers can be mentioned as well.
