Abstract

In recent years, VR devices have become more common. Immersive experiences in 3D spaces such as the metaverse has attracted a lot of attention. In the non-VR environment for 2D display, many contents such as a game have already been created as a first-person viewpoint in a 3D space. In the field, a certain amount of knowledge on how to present game information around the player's field of view have been systematized. On the other hand, in a VR space, there are concerns that presenting information in the player's field of view may obstruct and lead to VR sickness, and the extent to which the knowledge in non-VR environments can be utilized has not been fully investigated. In this study, we constructed original game tasks in VR, and conducted evaluation experiments to make quantitative and qualitative comparisons between VR and non-VR environment about the information presentation methods around field of view.
