Abstract

In Japan, a variety of transportation services such as BRT, LRT, on-demand buses, and shared bicycles are being developed. In urban areas, the main transportation systems, such as railroads and BRT, are well developed, while terminal transportation, which is a means of getting from one's home to a train station or bus stop, varies from bicycles to walking. This study focuses on BRT and bicycle use. Using an artificial society model, we will quantitatively examine the impact on the number of BRT users when shared bicycles are parked at each BRT stop and at businesses along the BRT line, and when bicycles owned by individuals are parked at BRT stops.
