Abstract

We have developed unsafe driving detection methods using body-worn sensors. Because our previous study is limited to a simulation environment, the investigation of the effects specific to real vehicles is needed. We developed and evaluated an in-vehicle measurement system for collecting driving behavior data. The results showed that the measurement error was less than 20 ms, much smaller than the frequency of human motion, the RMSE inside the vehicle while driving was approximately 2 degrees.
