Potential of Data Science on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Abstract

In recent years, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) has become increasingly important. In variety of lifestyles, it is considered important to have life-work balance not only for childcare and nursing care, but also for various life events. This article introduces the current situation in academia and the possibility of data science, and hopes to provide a discussion that encourages to increase diversity, empathy, and flexible judgment in various research fields as part of the promotion of DE&I in the Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics.
