Proposal of a New Contradiction Index for the FCR-method: With Reference to the FCR Algorithm Based on Fuzzy Measures using φs Transform

Abstract

The FCR-method was proposed for improving the traditional bi-polar rating scale method. The respondents are instructed to check both positive and negative mono-pole scales for each question. From the paired response (p,n) , the integrated value I and the contradiction-irrelevance index C are calculated. In this paper, a new contradiction-irrelevance index C6 is proposed with reference to the other integration and contradiction-irrelevance indexes for the FCR-method derived by applying Fuzzy measure model using φs transform.
