Abstract

This study aims to develop an AI prediction system for river basins using river terrain data. In this paper, an analysis of flow predictions using drone-captured camera data from the upstream area of the Kagami River in Kochi Prefecture is conducted. Additionally, satellite terrain data of the river basin region, provided by research partners, are integrated with aerial measurement data collected via drones. The results of the validation for integrating these data into the AI prediction system are reported. This allows for the identification of potential issues and aims to establish new AI prediction technologies. Furthermore, future applications of AI based on the utilization of drone scan data from the upstream river basin and the results of 3D analysis and image processing are discussed.
