Linked Color Imaging (LCI) is a new type of image-enhanced endoscopy and enables visualization of red lesions that appear redder and whitish red lesions that appear whiter. Not only typical grayish-white elevations but also undetected lesions and patchy redness in white light imaging which are histologically gastric intestinal metaplasia, are observed as lavender color in LCI. LCI enables evaluation of the risk of gastric cancer easily and objectively.
