MERITS AND DEMERITS OF THE 104TH CONFERENCE OF THE JAPAN GASTROENTEROLOGICAL ENDOSCOPY SOCIETY KINKI CHAPTER THAT WAS HELD ON THE WEB FOR THE FIRST TIME

Abstract

The epidemic of COVID-19 infection has affected most academic conferences. We held the 104th conference of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society Kinki chapter on the web for the first time. As a result, there were more registrations for participation than at previous conferences, and we received many good evaluations for the conference held on the web, such as participants being able to browse any subject at any time and preference for the web conference by distant participants. On the other hand, the greatest weakness was that the presenters and participants could not hold discussions. We report the progress of holding the conference on the web and the results of the questionnaire that was distributed after the conference.
