ENDOSCOPIC CLOSURE AFTER DUODENAL ESD (WITH A VIDEO)

Abstract

The closure of mucosal defects post duodenal ESD is essential for preventing delayed adverse events. Although techniques such as over-the-scope clips and laparoscopic and endoscopic cooperative surgery for duodenal tumors have been reported to provide reliable and durable closure, several limitations remain. Recently, a modified double-layered suturing technique, inspired by the concept of origami and using through-the-scope clips (TTSC), has been developed. This method enables secure and efficient closure of post-ESD duodenal defects using TTSC alone.
