Development of an UV laser ablation continuous flow mass spectrometry for in-situ oxygen isotope ratio analysis of minerals in meteorites

Abstract

In order to analyze the oxygen isotopic ratios of minerals in chondrules and CAIs of meteorites, the UV laser ablation continuous flow oxygen isitope ratio mass spectrometry has been developed. The spatial resolution is 20 micron, and the analytical precision of oxygen isotope ratios are within 0.5 permil if the sample size is 50-60 nanomol.
