日本地球化学会は、1953年に設立され、「我が国における地球化学の進歩と発展を図る」ことを目的として、研究成果を、英文誌「Geochemical Journal」、和文紙「地球化学」を通じて発信して参りました。
本会は2017年11月から一般社団法人化され、社会貢献もこれまで以上に活発化させたいと活動を強化しています。
　年会では、講演形式の成果発表を行っています。講演要旨は、年会終了直後から電子体で一般に閲覧可能とすることで、多くの方たちに新しい成果を知っていただけるように努めております。
