U-Pb geochronology and trace element studies of zircon 'micro-vein' in gneissic peralkaline granite, western Ethiopia

Abstract

Here we present U-Pb ages and trace element (U, Th, REEs, Y, and Hf) compositions of a zircon micro-vein and host granite zircons as well as their internal textural features used to understand the mode of their formation and subsequent fluid-influenced alteration and recrystallization.
