Abstract
Granitic rock fragments found in the Ulleungdo volcanic island, South Korea, show very young Rb-Sr mineral isochron and K-Ar ages. The granitic rocks suggest that the granitic magma was cogenetically evolved from the Stage 3 Ulleungdo alkali basaltic magma formed at the back arc basin during the opening of the East Sea and Sea of Japan.
