Abstract
The behaviour of chalcophile elements (e.g. PGE, Re, Cu) in subduction zones is poorly understood. Although mainly controlled by sulfide species, Cl-rich fluids may also mobilize the chalcophile elements. Southern Kermadec Arc lavas are enriched in Cl-rich slab-derived fluid components. We will present Re-Os isotopic data and complementary elemental data for both typical and high-K lavas from Clark volcano, within a framework of slab-derived fluid mobility in the southern Kermadec Arc.
