Abstract
We measured peroxide concentrations in seawater to understand its main source. Peroxides include hydrogen peroxide and organic peroxides. Peroxides in seawater are thought to be produced mainly by photochemical formation, but dry and wet depositions from atmosphere are also sources in seawater. Since the concentration of peroxides in the environment is low and measurement in the field is difficult, only a few researches so far have been done to clarify the sources of HOOH in seawater. The focus of this study was to clarify the contribution of dry deposition for peroxides concentrations in seawater.
