Kinetic effect in the biogenic aragonite

The oxygen isotopic values of coral skeletons are definitely smaller than those synthesized under equilibrium condition. This difference has been called vital effect. This includes metabolic effect and kinetic effect. In this study we report the kinetic effects of carbon and oxygen isotopes on the cultivated corals.
