Preservation of allochthonous dissolved organic matter in L. Baikal deep water studied by high-resolution ESI-FTICR Mass Spectrometry

Abstract

To elucidate the chemical composition of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in the Lake Baikal, we applied high resolution fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS) to the lake water and inflowing river water samples.From the FT-ICR mass analysis,we found riverine organic molecules survived in L. Baikal deep water.
