Study on Isotope Effects in Chemical Reaction by using Chromatographic Technique

Abstract

We have investigated the isotope fractionation effects appeared in isotope exchange equilibrium of complex formation, ion exchange, and oxidation-reduction reaction by using chromatographic techniques. The chromatography clarifies the isotope fractionation in the chemical equilibrium reactions by accumulating isotope effects. In this presentation, we will introduce some of the isotope effects using crown ether resin, ion exchange, and oxidation-reduction reaction.
