Abstract
Trace elements including Ni concentrations were analyzed in the feather of Kagu, which is a national bird of New Caledonia. High concentrations of certain elements such as Ni, Cr and V were observed. These accumulations were suspected that these originate from ultramafic environment. However, it is a further study to elucidate detail mechanisms such as a result of contamination or species-specific accumulation.
