Abstract

Vertical profiles of cesium 137 were measured in soils collected fron top soils from nine sites in Toyama city and its surrounding area. Downward migration is up to 25cm in these top soils. Meanwhile, no migration of cesium 137 was observed in underground disposal site of cadomium contaminated soils, suggesting that underground disposal of radioactive cesium is a safe method.
