Abstract
Coccolithophores are an important microorganism for considering the carbon and sulfer cycles.Coccolithophores bloom was observed on 3rd October 2007 in Suruga Bay. Since then,we continue to observe Coccolithophores twice around up to now in Suruga Bay.In this year,from 20th to 26th May,cruse the appearance charactaristics of Coccolithophores in Kuroshio water are as follows: 1.In Suruga Bay Gephyrocapsa oceanica distributed more surface than at 25m layer. 2.At Kuroshio body water,species was Emilinania huxleyi,and the northeast area of Yaku island was dominanted by E.huxleyi. 3.It is concluded G.oceanica were appeared under 20°C and E.huxleyi were appeared over 20°C.
