OH scavenging rate constant in the aerosol extract solutions

Abstract

In this study, we obtained OH scavenging rate constant (k'OH) by dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in the solutions of atmospheric aerosol extracts, and determined a relationship between k'OH and DOC. As a result, the k'OH in the aerosol extracts could be estimated by the general formula based on concentrations of DOC (mol-C L^-1). k'OH(s^-1) ≈ [DOC]×(3.8±1.9)×10⁸.
