Abstract

The Kimmeridge Formation is the highest quality oil-prone source rock in this well. The other formations below the Kimmeridge also exhibit some degree of source rock potential. The maturity reaches peak oil generation stage in the Lower Pentland Formation. Althogh the Kimmeridge Formation is in immature to early mature stage at this well, it is expected to have generated large amounts of oil and gas in the deeper mature basin area.
