We studied mineralogy and geochemistry of drilled cores obtained from an active hydrothermal field at the Iheya North Knoll in the Okinawa Trough, in order to characterize hydrothermal alteration beneath the seafloor. We revealed alteration minerals caused by high temperature alteration distribute in deeper depth at the site more apart from the hydrothermal mound.
