Abstract

Arsenic (As) and antimony (Sb) have been known as toxic elements because of the toxicity to living organisms. The present study represents the facile and cost-effective carbothermal transformation of ferrihydrite-rich precipitate (FHP) which is recovered by acid mine drainage, to prepare magnetic-responsible adsorbent (MFHP) to uptake arsenate and antimonate in water.
