Since I joined Masuda Laboratory of Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, the University of Tokyo, as an undergraduate student in 1985, I have been working in geochemistry field. As I have belonged to ORI (now AORI) of the University of Tokyo and JAMSTEC for a long time, I think, most of the people may regard me as a marine chemist or a chemical oceanographer. Although I admit that the most of my scientific achievements are classified into marine geochemistry, I was also a member of cosmochemistry laboratory of Tokyo Metropolitan University. Based on some kind of peculiar career, I would like to discuss feature aspects of geochemical research.
