Abstract

Mongolia hosts significant REE resources, yet carbonatite-hosted Nb potential remains underrecognized. At Lugiin Gol complex, pyrochlore-bearing carbonatites record Nb enrichment during magmatic stages, whereas REE mineralization is mainly hydrothermal. This first documented Nb occurrence in southern Mongolia underscores the critical metal potential of Mesozoic rift-related carbonatitic systems.
