Abstract
On the chance of 24th Meeting of Geoscience Information Consortium (GIC) of EuroGeoSurvey's held in Japan, Japan Society of Geoinformatics jointly held the Symposium entitled Recent Development of International Geoinformatics with National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology on Monday May 25, 2009, at Akihabara Dai-Bldg. in Tokyo. 5 papers were presented from GIC members and Japanese gave talks 3 papers in the symposium with 45 participants. Contents of papers are reported in this article mostly devoted to national and international activities of geospatial information under the regulation laws, the web-GIS creation and dissemination, the geoscientific standards, and related technologies like as open source software.
