The chromosomes of four Catapionus gracilicornis male were studied. Three had the ordinal basic number 10AA+Xyp in haploid (2n=22) and remaining one, 11AA+Xyp (2n=24). The detailed investigation revealed that the latter chromosome formula was brought about by Robertsonian fission.
